Love Letters

Don't wait for Valentine's Day to write a love letter. Those you love should be told often and letters, cards and notes that put it in writing are a phenomenal way to build a relationship and keep it flourishing. Write a letter--keep it all positive. Leave notes around the house--on a pillow, in the freezer, in a lunch box--be creative. Buy or make a special card that says "I love you". Do it for Valentine's Day, or do it just because it's Wednesday!

Make Valentine's Day--Every Day

You don't need a special holiday to show love! Find ways to tell your sweetheart "I love you" everyday. That's what makes relationships, especially marriages, work.  Decide each morning to love one another for another day and show it in some tangible way. Put a candy kiss on a pillow, make a special meal or eat out at a favorite place, leave a love note--get creative.

Romantic Pampering

Pamper yourselves! Whether you are planning a wedding or have been married for thirty years, make a time of new beginnings to set aside special time for each other. Life only seems to get busier! Make a regular date to play together, whether it's one night a week or perhaps a morning for the two of you to share breakfast. Try a date other than a movie and popcorn -- and watching TV doesn't count! Have a picnic in the park, even if it's fast food take-out! Play miniature golf. Take a hike or a walk. Fly a kite. Listen to music together. Play a board game or work on a jigsaw puzzle. Activities like these contribute to building lasting relationships. Don't get so busy that you forget why you fell in love in the first place!
