MILK JUG
TURKEY GAME
Wash an empty
plastic milk jug and cut off the top section where the lid attaches. (An
adult can do this with a craft knife.) Paint the jug, adding wings and a
red gobbler. Glue a pom pom to the top of the handle for the head and
add giggle eyes and a construction paper or craft foam beak. Cut tail
feathers from construction paper or craft foam pieces and glue them to
the back. To play a game, stand above the turkey and drop pencils or
clothespins and see how many you can get inside the turkey jug. Hold the
pencil or clothespin in your hand and place your hand at the level of
your nose while standing over the jug. Drop the item from "nose level".
This makes the game fair for all ages.

Thanksgiving Tree

11" x 17" black and white drawing of a leafless tree
(similar to the photo above) and several sheets of autumn
colored paper with leaf shapes for you to cut out. Write
something for which you are thankful on each leaf and attach
them to the tree. Have everyone in the family, friends and
anyone who comes to your door in November add a leaf. (We even
have one from the pizza delivery guy on ours.) At dinner on
Thanksgiving, read the leaves or have each guest fill out one
to include on the tree and read these leaves as part of a
prayer of thanksgiving.
