"Mother of Family Ideas"

Make a Special Frame for Mom or Grandma for Mother's Day

Tools and Materials:

Acrylic Paints

Paint brush

Sponge for painting

White craft glue or hot glue gun

Plain wooden frame

Strings of small beads (for example 5mm plastic pearls)

Bows, buttons, beads or decorative gems

Clear acrylic spray finish

Directions:

Paint the wooden frame in a solid color. Let the paint dry completely.

Take a small piece of sponge and dip it in a different, but darker complimentary color of paint. Dab the paint randomly over the frame. Let it dry and repeat with a sponge dipped in a lighter complimentary shade of paint. Let the paint dry.

Spray the frame with clear acrylic sealer. Gloss or matte finish will work. (I prefer the gloss for this purpose.)  Let it dry.

Use white glue or a hot glue gun to attach a string of mini-beads or pearls around the frame. Attach decorative bows, beads or plastic gems to complete the frame.

Use:

Place a photograph in the frame and wrap your gift for mom or grandma. (Of course, a decorated frame can be used for many different people and occasions.)
