Pumpkin
Bell Windchime
Materials:
4 small (2") clay pots; twine, raffia, jingle bells,
orange and black acrylic pain, paintbrush
Paint
the clay pots orange and add jack-o-lantern faces with the
black paint after the orange layer is completely dry. When the
paint is dry, place pots upside down with the bases up and run
a piece of twine through the hole in each base. Tie the end of
twine that is inside each pot to a jingle bell and then make a
large knot just inside the hole so that it won't pull through.
Make another good size knot on the outside of the hole to
secure the pot. Leave about 15" of twine outside of the
pot. When you have done this with all 4 pots, tie the long
ends of the twine together. Add a little raffia to the top of
each bell and put a raffia bow on top of the twine where it is
tied together. Hang outdoors for a breeze or indoors as a
decoration.

from felt and stuff them with polyester filling.

Halloween
Bake
Halloween Cookies
Bake and
decorate Halloween cookies and then share them with friends. Use fall
shapes such as leaves, owls or pumpkins if Halloween is not celebrated
in your family. Make it a family project. Let children help make the
dough, roll it out and use the cookie cutters. Frosting can be homemade
with powdered sugar, milk, shortening and vanilla or you can purchase a
container of ready-made vanilla frosting and use food coloring to get
the colors you want.
Kid Robot.
This was the funniest costume in our family history. Dad made
it out of a plastic waste paper basket and a plastic bucket
with dryer hoses and more. The part that still makes us laugh,
is that our son couldn't move once he had the costume on, so
dad wheeled him around the neighborhood on a dolly to go
Trick-or-Treating.

Decorate
with Balloon Spiders
Combine round
balloons and the long, thin kind used to make balloon animals and make a
spider. It's pretty hard to get 8 legs with balloons and the dark
purple, blue and green ones often look black before they are inflated.
But it's fun to make the spiders anyway. Use large plastic jiggle eyes
and attach them with a little glue or rolled pieces of clear packing
tape. Hang them from the ceiling, stick them in a "web" of purchased
spider webbing material or make a spider centerpiece.
