Visit a pumpkin patch
Our annual pumpkin patch family outing includes a ride on a hay wagon, picking out the very best of pumpkins, enjoying a wonderful autumn picnic and partaking in whatever events are being held at the farm we visit.
Apple Peel Contest
Have each family member who is old enough to handle a knife carefully peel an apple. The idea is to see how long a peel can be made without breaking it. The person with the longest continual apple peel is the winner. When the game is over, cut the peeled apples into pieces and enjoy a snack, put them in a pie, or microwave them for a few minutes with some sugar and cinnamon.
