About the Author

Jan Samar
Jan Samar loves to
entertain! She is a well-known public speaker and storyteller
who has enjoyed working with clowning over the years. She
began with a clowning class at Jackson Community College in
Jackson, Michigan and went on to perform for a number of years
as a member of Clowns of America. Jan’s clowning specialty is
Chalk Talk clowning, a form of storytelling which has an
appeal to children. She has performed for parties, non-profit
organizations, nursing homes and more. Although she
discontinued using the greasepaint after an allergic reaction,
Jan still brings laughter to many as a public speaker,
storyteller, actress and comedienne.
