Birthday Traditions
In
our family, the night before a birthday is the time to put up
a "Happy Birthday" banner and maybe some balloons or
streamers. There is always something special so that the
person celebrating a birthday will wake up to wonderful
greeting and acknowledgement of his or her special day. Some
families have a special plate that the birthday person uses
for a dinner of his or her choice. Others may have flowers or
a special collection of birthday cards waiting. Does your
family have a tradition to welcome birthdays? If not, start
one with the next birthday in line.
